Private groups and organizations sometimes offer scholarships. Students are encouraged to
apply for as many outside scholarships as possible. Students are responsible for
reporting, in writing, to the Financial Aid Office any outside scholarships they receive.
Receipt of outside aid may have an effect on financial aid already awarded.
This office receives notifications of scholarships from certain agencies. The Scholarship
List shown below is by no means an exhaustive list of available scholarships, so we
recommend that students conduct their own scholarship searches as well. There are a number
of free scholarship searches, and many of them now use the Internet as their main gateway
for sharing information. Please refer to the following websites for
