Clyde Russell Scholarship Fund |
| Description: To be eligible for these scholarships, you must be a Maine resident, meet the specific requirements for the scholarship (as outlined on the application), and exhibit desirable qualities as determined by the scholarship committee. Award: Any award granted for Individuals in a Teacher Preparation Program will be to cover tuition, room, board, books and fees, not to exceed $10,000. The award will be made directly to the applicant. One half-will be paid upon presentation of evidence of enrollment in the first semester of school and one-half upon presentation of evidence of enrollment in the second semester of school. Any award granted for Full or Part-Time College or Graduate Students will be to cover tuition, room, board, books and fees, not to exceed $10,000. The award will be made directly to the applicant. One-half will be paid upon presentation of evidence of enrollment in the first semester of school and one-half upon presentation of evidence of enrollment in the second semester of school. How to apply: Applications for this scholarship can be picked up at the Merrill Center or at www.clyderussellscholarshipfund.org. The completed application will include a personal letter of intent, three letters of recommendation (detailed on the application), and a current transcript. A personal interview will be required of any finalist prior to the granting of the award.
