Boulos Family Scholarship |
| Description: Award: This scholarship is available to Maine military personnel who served in Iraq or Afghanistan in the post-September 11, 2001 conflicts. Personnel currently serving in the U.S. Military, or in the National Guard or Reserves, or those who have been honorably discharged, may be eligible. Scholarship recipients must have been a Maine resident prior to serving in either conflict. Scholarships from the $1 million fund will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications are online at www.boulosscholarship.me.edu starting on February 1, 2005. **Note: Applicants will need to seek the assistance of a Financial Aid officer in completing the application form. The officer will need to verify the student's eligibility (DD 214 or other official military document that states that the student served in Iraq or Afghanistan after September 11, 2001) and enrollment or acceptance. Deadline: The funds will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis, until they are exhausted.
