Reading Tutor III / Coordinator

STATEMENT OF THE JOB:

The employee performs responsible tasks related to reading instruction for children in public schools, and when assigned, coordinates and provides support to Reading Tutors II. Work is performed with limited supervision and involves independent judgment and initiative, organizational skills, prior experience and a high level of achievement in course work related to reading instruction.

DUTIES:

1) Collaborates with UMF faculty, cooperating teacher(s), and/or school principal(s) to identify the needs of individual child(ren) and develop appropriate plan(s) of instruction.

2) Assists student(s) on an individual basis, in small groups, or in clinical setting in order to help improve their reading skills.

3) Coordinates and/or provides support to Reading Tutors II.
