Financial Aid

Financial Aid

The University of Maine at Farmington is recognized as having one of the most successful and effective financial aid programs in the state of Maine. Last year alone, UMF students received aid packages averaging $8,114 per student at the end of the academic year. The UMF Financial Aid staff is eager to help students and families navigate the sometimes confusing world of college financing.

In addition, the University of Maine at Farmington has a number of innovative cost-saving options that allow you and your family to make sound financial decisions—things like interest-free payment plans, budget-conscious meal plans, course offerings that enable you to earn your degree in just four years, and more. Plus, UMF offers opportunities allowing you to earn a degree even sooner—things like allowing credits for prior learning, and summer enrollment incentives.

The mission of the UMF Financial Aid Office is an outgrowth of the campus mission as Maine's public liberal arts college.  Our purpose is to support student access and persistence to graduation through the delivery of an array of services and support that primarily encompasses grants, scholarships, on-campus student employment and payroll, and assorted loan programs.  We strive to honor the vision of UMF and to uphold the values of our campus mission though financial aid services marked by excellence.
